Smart Marketing for Accountants
One channel that can produce enquiries this month. One that keeps producing for years. Built on a Smart Website that you run through AI.
Your future clients are already searching. Very specifically.
Most accountancy firms grow on word of mouth, and it works right up until it's no longer enough.
Meanwhile there is a steady stream of small business owners typing their problem into Google, in language you would recognise instantly.
These are real UK monthly search volumes, with how hard each term is to rank for.
| What they type into Google | Searches a month | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Accountant for small business | 3,600 | Hard |
| Cost of accountant for small business | 590 | Moderate |
| As a sole trader, do I need an accountant? | 170 | Low |
| Do I need an accountant for self assessment? | 90 | Low |
| Do I need an accountant for my small business? | 70 | Very low |
Look at the bottom three rows. Those are people deciding whether to hire an accountant at all, which is the easiest conversation you will ever have, and almost nobody is competing for them.
I checked who currently ranks on page one for the last of those. Two of the results are tiny sites with barely any authority behind them. That is what you are up against, and it is winnable.
At the same time, roughly seven in ten small business owners now put a question to AI before they think of asking their accountant. If your expertise exists nowhere online, you are absent from that conversation as well.
The Growth Engine
Two channels, running side by side. One starts producing conversations almost immediately. The other takes a bit longer to build, but then keeps paying out for years.
Conversation Starters
Quick wins in 30–60 days
- Get potential clients asking about your services this month.
- Separate "vaguely interested" from "genuinely ready to hire an accountant" (before spending any time on a call).
- Turn a comment on a post into a booked discovery call.
- Get new enquiries from people already in your network (without asking anyone for a referral).
- Make your professional knowledge the most productive part of your marketing.
- Publish content this month that is still bringing in enquiries two years from now.
Traffic Engine
Compounds over 6–12 months
- How to get your firm in front of businesses actively searching for an accountant (without competing against firms with the biggest budgets).
- The searches your competitors have not bothered to rank for, and why a site with almost no authority is sitting on page one for some of them.
- Why most accountancy websites are invisible to Google, and the specific type of content that changes that.
- How to build a stream of inbound enquiries that keeps running whether you post that week or not.
- The difference between content that produces for three months and content still bringing in leads three years from now.
- The compounding effect that makes content you publish today worth more in two years than it is right now.

Who this is right for
Small and independent accountancy firms.
This is a good fit if you...
- You are a sole practitioner or a small firm, not a national
- Most of your clients have come from word of mouth
- You work with small businesses and sole traders
- You would rather own the system than rent an agency forever
This isn't the right fit if...
- You want a quick fix. The Growth Engine takes a few months to build momentum and requires consistent input
- You work with large corporates rather than small businesses and sole traders
Frequently Asked Questions
Will AI-written content sound like a robot wrote it?
It would, if you opened ChatGPT and typed "write me a blog about self assessment". That is not what this is. Business Brain OS is loaded with how you write, who your clients are and what you actually think about the subject, taken from our first call and your existing material, before it writes a word. You also read and approve everything before it goes live.
Will Google penalise me for publishing AI-assisted content?
No. Google's published position is about whether content is useful, not how it was produced. Thin, unhelpful articles get buried whether a person or a machine wrote them. What we publish is built on real search intent, carries your professional expertise, and is reviewed and signed off by you.
I don't want to be all over social media. Does that rule out the first half?
No. Conversation Starters are short written posts to groups and networks you are already in, a couple of times a week. No video, no personal brand performance, nothing that requires you to be interesting on camera. If you can write a sentence about something clients get wrong, you can run this.
I'm not technical. Will I actually be able to use it?
It works by typing in plain English, the same as messaging someone. There is nothing to learn beyond that, and you cannot break your website by talking to it. We publish your first article together at handover, so you have done it once with me watching before you do it alone.
What if I already have a website?
Often easier. I will look at what is there, keep anything worth keeping including your domain and any pages already getting traffic, and build around it. Your current site stays live until the new one is ready, so there is no gap.
Am I tied to you afterwards?
No. You own the domain, the files, the content and the system. Nothing sits on a platform you can only reach through me, and there is no retainer you have to keep paying to stop it switching off.
How much time does this actually take?
An hour a fortnight, realistically, if you are running it yourself. If you know that hour is never going to happen, say so on the call. I will run it for you instead, and that is a better use of your money than buying a system and quietly hoping.
None of this is automatic, but what the Growth Engine does is take care of implementation. Deciding what to write, doing the research, structuring it for search. You then do a final check for accuracy and voice, and the article is automatically published.
